My name is Nevaeh Baylis-Furtado and I am a graduate of North Star High School in the Greater Essex County District School Board. I am attending St. Clair College in the Biomedical Engineering Technology Program. I want to ensure there are upgrades in the technical standards for newly founded equipment and accessories in the medical field. I also want to find new remedies to the problems we deal with today in the medical field, finding better, more resourceful ways to implement medical innovation. I have been involved in volunteering in a STEM program for women at WEST in Windsor, where we as a team find new ways to problem solve for issues in the community, help create a loving environment for all our peers and work together as a family.

Nevaeh received the Ada & Leo Ellsworth STEM Scholarship of $2000.
