Logan Richardson

🌟✨#HADSCscholarshipspotlight: Logan Richardson 🌟✨

My name is Logan Richardson and I am a graduate of Sandwich Secondary School in the Greater Essex District School Board. I am attending the University of Windsor enrolled in the Mechanical Engineering Program. While I will be studying Engineering at the University of Windsor, my future career aspiration is in the field of Law where I can continue to give my time and talents to serve others.

I have been deeply involved in both school extracurriculars and community initiatives, especially through my passion for music. I have studied the violin intensively since the age of 5, and currently serve as Concertmaster of the Windsor Symphony Youth Orchestra, a role I earned through dedication, technical skill, and leadership. I’ve also performed at numerous community outreach events as a member of the WSYO Quartet, sharing music at the Windsor Chamber of Commerce, Essex County Warden’s Banquet, and more. My love for music extends to my solo performances at Campbell Baptist Church band with residents at Sunrise of Windsor. One of my proudest contributions has been my three years as an assistant with the String Project at Marlborough Public School, helping young students access music education they might not otherwise have.

At school, I’ve been a Peer Helper, a DECA Provincial Competitor, and a dedicated athlete in curling, tennis, cross-country, and track & field. I was also honoured to attend both the Black Joy Black Excellence Conference and the African Diaspora Conference*at the University of Windsor this year.

I am the proud great grandson of Luella (Talbot) White, one of The Hour-A-Day Study Club's founding mothers.

Logan Richardson received the Eleanore Patricia Alexander Scholarship of $3000

✨Congratulations Logan Richardson!✨
